要旨

Some of the topics that could be included are:

(1) chaotic-advection in layerwise 2-D flows -- scale cascade
(2) spatial structure and spectra
(3) effects of simple chemistry
(4) mixing processes in the real stratosphere
- effects of intermittent turbulent patches
- estimation from observations
- mathematical models for such mixing processes

These topics will be interesting to non-atmospheric people too. There will be heavy emphasis on fluid dynamics and many of the results are relevant to the ocean as well.
