木星以遠の氷衛星内部には液体の $\mathrm{H_2O}$ から成る「内部海」が存在すると考えられている. 本論文では, ケイ酸塩コアからの加熱を唯一の熱源と仮定し, テイラー柱と呼ばれる, 回転する球殻流体における柱状の速度場構造の計算を行った. モデルとして, 非伝統的コリオリ項を含む非静水圧モデルを構築した. 計算には Julia 言語ベースの Oceananigans.jl を用い, 先行研究である Bire et al. (2022) の計算ドメインおよび物理パラメータを模倣した. 結果, 低緯度では流速の大きいテイラー柱が出現したものの, 高緯度では自転軸から傾いた向きに流速の小さいテイラー柱が形成された. これは, 全球での正確なコリオリの力ではなく赤道付近のみで正確なコリオリの力となる関数を適用した影響であると考えられる. また, 粘性係数依存性を調べたところ, 粘性を小さくした場合は流速の緯度依存性が縮小し, 粘性を大きくした場合はテイラー柱が消失する結果が得られた.
