[cvs-ml 933] Connection reset by peer (AIX)

数理計画の田中靖宏です。はじめまして。

AIX 3.1.5 に cvs-1.10.8 をインストールして使っています。

localな環境では問題無く使えるのですが、pserver として使えずに困って
います。

具体的には、ログインしようとすると、

$ cvs -d :pserver:hogehoge@localhost:/var/cvs login
(Logging in to hogehoge@localhost)
CVS password:
cvs [login aborted]: recv() from server localhost: Connection reset by peer

…というエラーになって接続が切られてしまいます。

なお、/etc/services には
cvspserver  2401/tcp         # CVS password server
cvspserver  2401/udp         # CVS password server
そして /etc/inetd.conf には
cvspserver stream tcp nowait root /usr/local/bin/cvs cvs --allow-root=/var/cvs pserver
という行を設定しています。

AIX 3.1.5 で pserver を使うには、何か他に設定が必要なのでしょうか？
